QVE x Mehryl Levisse

"Hôtesses", that is, hostesses are important visual elements of showrooms and saloons. More precisely, they have little other value apart from their esthetic appearance. They are supposed to be informative but can be rather dull, bored with their obligation to just "attend" at events.

An intriguing performance imagined by visual artist Mehryl Levisse, as performed on the last day of the ZAT 2019 "100 artistes dans la ville", at MO.CO. Hôtel des Collections, 28 July 2019. I was happy to have contributed as one of the "hôtesses".

Hôtesses, a performance by ©Mehryl Levisse. Four women dressed in bomber jackets, mini skirts and high heels. Fake hair and a mask make their faces irrecognisable. A small hole around their mouth allows to see their very red lips. Three of them are in black, one in electric blue. The artist is standing next to them with his arms folded.Photo: Célia Pernot MO.CO.
